farce, the daily prompt

I slipped, tripped up, caught the news today.
Pixilated posers propped up by
arbitrary cash-grab cycles.
Their words measured in torrents,
minds run through with violence,
eager faces a farce of humanity;
I felt a moan rise inside of me,
remembered I have remote control
over this virtual reality,
and opted
out.

Write your farce over at the Word Press Daily Prompt.

My 2 Cents: Get your news from neutral sources when possible. The Social Justice Exchange has a nice info graphic on the topic. Read your news, so you can control the rate of input. For those of us with anxiety, I recommend staying away from the non-stop hand-wringing that are the 24-hour news channels and social media feeds.
