Survive, daily prompt

There’s a disco hit that I like to sing when the days are rough and last for weeks. Yep, it’s that old heartbreak anthem “Survive.” The song that girls of the 70s, 80s and 90s have memories of belting out, while in tears, during their high school tour of duty. It works just as well as a chronic pain anthem. Chronic pain is just like that epic loser date. So, let’s not let it crush our spirit or our hearts. Let’s not let it make us withdrawn and distant. Instead, let’s make like Gloria Gaynor and SURVIVE.

Survive
Written by Dino Fekaris, Frederick J. Perren

Do you think I’d crumble
Did you think I’d lay down and die?
Oh no, not I, I will survive
Oh, as long as I know how to love, I know I’ll stay alive
I’ve got all my life to live
And I’ve got all my love to give and I’ll survive
I will survive
I will survive
